Chile : Imposition of Anti-dumping Duty Order against Certain Steel Bars Originating in the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 100/2017 dated 8 February 2017, the Chilean government issued Decree No. 420/2017 on 13 November 2017 announcing the imposition of anti-dumping (AD) duty on steel bars used for the production of conventional mill balls for grinding with a diameter of less than 3.5 inches classified under Chilean Harmonized Tariff Schedule code 7228.30.00 originating in the Mainland of China. New generation steel bars for mill balls with a carbon content higher than one percent are excluded from the duty order. The Chinese products are subject to an AD duty ranging from 8.2% to 22.9% for one year. The Chilean Decree (in Spanish) is available at: https://www.leychile.cl/Navegar?idNorma=1111118.
