Mexico : Standards for Certain Products

The Mexican government has issued new/extended mandatory standards for certain products.

2.The mandatory standards are tabulated as follows for easy reference. For details, please refer to the relevant official notices (in Spanish).

  • Standard NOM-058-SCFI-2017 includes definitions, classification, technical specifications, sampling and testing requirements, commercial information and conformity assessment provisions.
  • Effective 11 February 2018.
Radio Signal Blocking Equipment http://dof.gob.mx/nota_detalle.php?codigo=5494066&fecha=16/08/2017
  • Standard NOM-EM-018-SCFI-2016 requires subject equipment that is either produced in Mexico or imported to comply with the minimum specifications and limits and the test methods laid out in Technical Disposition IFT-010-2016 issued by the Federal Institute of Telecommunications.
  • Extended for a period of six months from 23 August 2017 and will expire at the end of the period.
