Canada : Antidumping Action against Certain Concrete Reinforcing Bar from Hong Kong : Initiation of Investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) published a notice on 19 August 2016 announcing the initiation of an investigation into the alleged injurious dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from Hong Kong, amongst certain other countries. The concerned goods are usually classified under the Harmonized System classification numbers 7213.10.00.00, 7214.20.00.00, 7215.90.00.90 and 7227.90.00.90. 2. CBSA's investigations schedule is available at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/i-e/rb22016/rb22016-se-eng.html. In gist, Statement of Reasons on the case would be released by 2 September 2016 at CBSA's website. The deadline for exporters to response to CBSA's Request for Information will be on 26 September 2016 and the preliminary determination of subject investigation will be released by 17 November 2016. Concerned producers/exporters are strongly advised to observe the above deadlines, and complete and return the questionnaire to CBSA by 26 September 2016.
