Brazil : Extension of Compliance Date for LED Lamps and Water Consumption Equipment
Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 971/2014 of 10 November 2014 regarding the establishment of technical requirements for LED lamp and water consumption equipment, the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) of Brazil issued Decrees No. 76/2016 and No. 77/2016 on 24 February 2016 to extend the compliance dates for LED lamps and water consumption equipment respectively as follows:
(a) LED Lamps

| (i) | 17 February 2016 | Imported or domestically produced |
| (ii) | 17 June 2016 | Importers and domestic manufacturers |
| (iii) | 17 March 2017 | Retailers and other parties |
| (iv) | 17 September 2017 | Small and micro enterprises |
(b) Water Consumption Equipment

| (i) | 24 July 2016 | Imported or domestically produced |
| (ii) | 24 July 2017 | Importers and domestic manufacturers |
| (iii) | 24 July 2018 | Retailers and other parties |
