Argentina: Extension of Compliance Date and Amendments of Technical Requirements for Electric Metres
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 568/2015 of 26 June 2015 regarding the extension of compliance date for active electric metres for alternating current manufactured, imported or sold in Argentina to comply with the technical requirements, the Argentine government issued Resolution No. 421/2015 on 14 October 2015 to extend the compliance date until 31 March 2016 and amended the technical documentation requirements.
2.According to the Resolution No. 421/2015, the technical documentation must contain the model information, metrological characteristics, technical specification, user and installation manuals of the electric metres.
3.Upon the issuance of the test report by the National Industrial Technology Institute ("Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial" in Spanish/ INTI), the producer, importer or representative must submit the application for model approval to the Ministry of Economy and Production ("Ministerio de Economía y Producción" in Spanish) within 60 days from the date of the test performed.
