Commercial Information Circular No. 893/2015

Uruguay : Modifications of Requirements for On-line Purchases of International Consignments

Further to Commerical Information Circular No. 270/2015 of 20 April 2014 regarding the requirements for purchases delivered by international postal shipments, the Uruguayan government issued Decree No. 177/2015 on 6 July 2015 to modify the requirements for on-line purchases of international consignments.

2.The on-line purchases shall be made through the use of international credit card, debit card or international electronic money instrument issued by a financial institution, credit company or electronic money issuer regulated by the Central Bank of Uruguay.

3.For details, traders are advised to consult their importers in Uruguay and/or the above Uruguayan Decree (in Spanish) at: http://archivo.presidencia.gub.uy/sci/decretos/2015/07/mef_177.pdf.
