Chile : Conformity Certification Requirements for Various Products
The Chilean government issued Exempt Resolution No. 20/2015 on 18 May 2015 to require (i) flexible metal ducts; (ii) rigid metal ducts; (iii) boards (cabinets); (iv) derivation boxes (metal and plastic); and (v) rechargeable flashlights to obtain a certificate of approval for compliance with safety requirements by a certification body authorised by the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels ("Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles" (in Spanish)/SAT) prior to their commercialisation in Chile.
