Commercial Information Circular No. 365/2015

Uruguay : Modification of Import Tariffs and Establishment of Tariff Rate Quota on Various Products

The Uruguayan government has modified the import tariff of tiamulin fumarate, and established tariff rate quota on certain idursulfase. A summary of the changes is set out as follows:

  1. Certain tiamulin fumarate classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) code 2941.90.92 to benefit from a reduced duty of 2%.
  1. A tariff rate quota of 450 units on certain idursulfase classified under NCM code 3002.90.99 to benefit from duty-free treatment for 12 months.

2.Separately, the scope of certain aluminium alloy plate and sheet classified under NCM code 7606.12.20 for enjoying 2% duty rate has been modified, such that the subject product may include a content of lower than or equal to 0.25% of manganese in weight, while the lower threshold of at least 0.1% of manganese in weight is no longer required.
