Commercial Information Circular No. 273/2015

Colombia : Technical Regulation for Reinforcement Steel

The Colombian government issued Resolution No. 277/2015 on 2 February 2015 to establish a technical regulation applicable to certain plain and deformed steel wires, and welded wire for concrete reinforcement classified under Colombian Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTSCO) codes 72.15.50.10.00 and 73.14.20.00.00. The regulation will enter into force on 12 August 2015.

2.The regulation includes provisions on minimum marking requirements; applicable tests, sub-items and specific technical requirements; dimensional requirements; conformity assessment procedures; product conformity certificates; supplier's declaration of conformity; liability and registration of manufacturers and importers; etc.
