Brazil : Modification of Import Tariffs and Establishment of Tariff Rate Quota on Various Products
The Brazilian government has modified the import tariffs of a number of products, and established tariff rate quotas on certain imports. A summary of the changes is set out as follows:
- Certain tiamulin fumarate classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) code 2941.90.92 to benefit from a reduced duty of 2% from 12% from 30 January 2015.
- The scope of certain litho sheet of aluminium alloys classified under NCM code 7606.12.20 for enjoying the current 2% reduced duty have been modified from 30 January 2015.
- Certain information technology and telecommunications goods classified under NCM chapters 84-85, and 90 to benefit from a reduced duty of 2% from 2 February 2015 until 31 December 2015.
- Certain capital goods classified under NCM chapters 84-87, and 89-90 to benefit from a reduced duty of 2% from 2 February 2015 until 30 June 2016.
- Certain capital goods classified under NCM code 8477.10.29 Ex 005 to benefit from a reduced duty of 2% from 2 February 2015 until 30 June 2015.
