Argentina : Sworn Declaration for Certain Low-Voltage Electrical Products
The Argentine government issued Resolution No. 316/2014 on 21 November 2014 to require parties responsible for the manufacture and importation of low-voltage electrical products for the sole purpose of being used in industrial facilities, or by pre-determined services suppliers, excluding those applied to education, and which require trained personnel with specific knowledge in the electric field for their installation, operation and maintenance, to submit a sworn declaration with specifications detailed in Annex I of Resolution 92/1998 so as to comply with the safety requirements for low-voltage electrical products.
2.The sworn declaration must comply with the following:
- must be written in Spanish;
- include a detailed description of each product, including, among other information, the country of origin, brand, model, quantity produced and/or imported, performance specifications (technical and electrical), function, place of installation or, in case of spare parts, place where the parts will be used; and
- must be accompanied by brochures with the technical specifications of the product.
