Commercial Information Circular No. 118/2015

Paraguay : Conformity Certification Standards for Certain Electric Cables

The Paraguayan government issued Resolution No. 1014/2014 on 10 October 2014 to establish conformity certification standards for imported electric cables with extruded insulation for nominal voltages of 1.0 kV and 3.0 kV, classified under common classification (NCM) codes 8544.42.00, 8544.49.00 and 8544.60.00.

2.The electric cables must be certified in accordance with "Type 5" system requirements under Paraguayan Standard NP-ISO/IEC 17067, and comply with the requirements of Paraguayan Standard NP 2 007 88 - December 2013, Second Edition. Importers must also register in the applicable registry.
