Mexico : Clarification of Energy Standard for Road Lighting Systems

Mexico's Ministry of Energy has recently issued an official note clarifying certain provisions of the minimum energy efficiency standard for road lighting systems.

DETAILS

2.The trade had been informed vide Commercial Information Circular no. 590/2013 of 24 July 2013 of the issuance of new minimum energy efficiency standard for road lighting systems (NOM-013-ENER-2013). This official note seeks to clarify various parts of the standards including modification of exclusions, terms, maximum values of electrical power density for lighting, and language related to acceptance criteria, calculation methods, documentary review, and installation data.
