Brazil : Technical Requirements for LED Lamp, Water Consumption Equipment and Televisions
The National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil issued Decrees No. 389/2014 and 394/2014 on 25 August 2014 respectively, and Decree No. 427/2014 on 10 September 2014 to establish the technical requirements for (a) certain LED lamps; (b) water consumption equipment; and (c) certain televisions.
(a) Certain LED Lamps
The INMETRO issued Decree No. 389/2014 to establish technical requirements for certain LED lamps with built-in control device to comply with the requirements on energy efficiency, safety, electromagnetic compatibility.
(b) Certain Water Consumption Equipment
The INMETRO issued Decree No. 394/2014 to establish technical requirements for certain water consumption equipment to comply with the requirements on safety, health, performance and energy efficiency.
(c) Certain Televisions
The INMETRO issued Decree No. 427/2014 to establish technical requirements for certain televisions with a cathode ray tube, and plasma, LCD and LED televisions, and monitors with TV functions and internal radio frequency tuners to comply with the requirements on electrical safety and energy efficiency.
