Commercial Information Circular No. 908/2014
Argentina : Import Certificate for Used Capital Goods
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 324/2013 of 30 April 2014 regarding the establishment of the application requirements for import certificate ('certificado de importación' in Spanish) for used capital goods, the Argentine government issued a Joint Resolution No. 214/2014 and 123/2014 on 7 August 2014 to modify the following application requirements:
- the information that must be provided as part of the application process has been streamlined;

the import certificate will be valid for a period of 120 days and will include the following information: importer name, tax identification number, tariff classification (Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) code) and description of the used goods, brand, model, serial or production number (if applicable), quantity, country of origin and precedence, and FOB value in US dollars;

goods imported under the temporary importation regime must submit the application together with a final technical report issued by the National Institute of Industrial Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (in Spanish) /INTI); and
-
applicants may provide an email address to receive any notifications during the application process. Final administrative decisions will not be notified electronically.
