Dear Sirs,

Commercial Information Circular No. 860/2014

US : Anti-dumping Action against Calcium Hypochlorite from the Mainland of China : Preliminary Determination of Sales at Less than Fair Value

The US Department of Commerce (DoC) announced in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 25 July 2014 its preliminary determination that calcium hypochlorite from the Mainland of China was being, or was likely to be, sold in the US at less than fair value. The weighted-average dumping margin was 210.52%. The FR notice is available at: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-07-25/pdf/2014-17487.pdf.

2. On 24 March 2014, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) published its preliminary determination that there was a reasonable indication that an industry in the US was materially injured by reason of imports of calcium hypochlorite from the Mainland of China. If the final determination of the DoC is affirmative, the ITC will make its final determination on whether the domestic industry in the US is materially injured, or threatened with material injury, by reason of the subject imports within 45 days after the DoC's final determination.
