Argentina : Amendment to Requirements for Drug Imports

The Argentine government issued Decree No. 4229/2014 on 18 June 2014 to clarify that importers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) who carry out fractionating activities are required to have their own laboratories, as well as the corresponding fractionating or heavy area, under the Good Manufacturing Practices and other complementary areas. For those importers who do not carry out fractionating activities but sell the imported API products in a package are exempted from the requirements.
