Brazil : Technical Requirements and Amendments to Conformity Certification Requirements for Plastic Chairs
The National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) of Brazil issued Decree No. 341/2014 on 22 July 2014 to establish technical requirements for plastic chairs.
2.The INMETRO also issued Decree No. 342/2014 on 22 July 2014 to amend the conformity certification requirements of plastic chairs and its compliance dates are as follows:
| Compliance Date | Application Criteria | |
| (i) | 24 July 2015 | manufacture and import of such products |
| (ii) | 24 January 2016 | domestic sale of such products by manufacturers and importers |
| (iii) | 24 January 2017 |
domestic sale of such products by all other parties
