Ecuador : Exclusion of Certain Electrical Batteries from Certificate of Conformity Requirements
The Ecuadorian government issued a Document No. MCE-CCOMEX-2014-0399-O on 2 June 2014 to exclude certain electrical batteries from mandatory certificate of conformity requirements NTE INEN 807-2:2010. With effect from September 2014, electrical batteries classified under Ecuadorian Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSEC) subheadings 8506.10.1100, 8506.10.1900, 8506.10.9110, 8506.10.9190, 8506.10.9900, 8506.30.1000, 8506.30.9000, 8506.40.1000, 8506.40.9000, 8506.50.1000, 8506.50.9000, 8506.60.1000, 8506.60.9000, 8506.80.1000 and 8506.80.9000 will benefit from the exclusion.
