Argentina : Extension of Compliance Date for Energy Efficiency Requirements for Certain Air Conditioners

Pursuant to Commercial Information Circular No. 1054/2013 of 27 December 2013 regarding the establishment of energy efficiency requirements for certain air conditioners, the Argentine government issued Resolution No. 228/2013 on 31 March 2014 to extend the compliance dates from 1 April 2014 to 1 August 2014 for the following air conditioners with a cooling capacity equal to or lower than seven kilowatts:

  1. "Class B" in cooling mode of IRAM 62406:2007, i.e. the maximum level of specific energy consumption or minimum level of energy efficiency; and
  1. "Class C" in cooling mode of IRAM 62406:2007.
