US : DOE's New Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential Furnace Fans

The US Department of Energy (DOE) promulgated in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 3 July 2014 the final rule on new energy efficiency standards for residential furnace fans. The effective date of the final rule is 2 September 2014, and compliance date with the standards is 3 July 2016.

DETAILS

2. DOE has determined that these new standards will result in significant conservation of energy and are technologically feasible and economically justified.  For details, please refer to the FR notice at: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-07-03/pdf/2014-15387.pdf.
