US : Energy Conservation Standards for Electric Motors

The US Department of Energy (DOE) promulgated in the Federal Register (FR) notice of 29 May 2014 the final rule on energy conservation standards for commercial and industrial electric motors. The effective date of the final rule is 28 July 2014, and compliance date with the standards is 1 June 2016.

DETAILS

2.The DOE establishes energy conservation standards to a wider scope of electric motors, and certain motors will be required to meet more stringent efficiency levels.
