Dear Sirs,
Commercial Information Circular No. 510/2014
Ecuador : Requirement of Certificate of Conformity
The Ecuadorian government issued Resolutions No. 2/2014 and No. 10/2014 recently to regulate the requirement of Certificate of Conformity ("certificado de reconocimiento" in Spanish / INEN) for various imports.
2.Annex 1 of Resolution No. 2/2014 sets out the products requiring INEN during imports, while Annex 2 sets out those imports which are exempted from INEN requirement.
3.Resolution No. 10/2014 clarifies that INEN will only be required for products that fall under the scope of a technical regulation which is in force, and exempts ten products listed in Annex 1 from the requirement of INEN.
