Commercial Information Circular No. 507/2014

Argentina : Information System for Cargo Containers

The Federal Administration of Publich Revenue ("Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos"/AFIP in Spanish) of Argentina issued General Resolution No. 3615/2014 on 10 April 2014 to establish a new web-based "Containers Registation" ("Registro de Contenedores" in Spanish) which is an information system for cargo containers.

2.The container operator registered in the Special Customs Registry ("Registros Especiales Aduaneros" in Spanish) with a fiscal key of a level 3 minimum security clearance will be liable to provide the required information. Any information provided will be treated as a sworn declaration. Such information should be provided or updated at least 24 hours prior to the arrival of a new container into Argentina, or within 48 hours after the departure or transfer of a container.
