Argentina : Appointment of Laboratories for Test of Compliance with Energy Labelling Requirements for Fluorescent Lamp Ballasts

Pursuant to the Commercial Information Circular No. 936/2013 of 25 November 2013 regarding the energy labelling requirements for fluorescent lamp ballasts, the Argentine government issued Decrees No. 38/2014, No. 39/2014, No. 72/2014 and No. 79/2014 from February to April 2014 to appoint four laboratories for conducting tests of compliance with the energy labelling requirements for electromagnetic and electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps suitable for use in 220 volts and 50 hertz that are sold in Argentina, either as stand-alone products or as part of a light fixture. The four appointed laboratories are Lenor S.R.L., Shitsuke S.R.L., Instituto Argentino de Ensayos de Verificación (IADEV) S.A., and Compliance Engineering Services (CES) S.A.
