Brazil : Technical Regulations on Good Manufacturing Practices for Personal Hygiene Products, Cosmetics and Perfumes

Pursuant to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1109/2012 of 31 December 2012 that the Argentine government had incorporated the Mercosur Resolution No. 19/2011 regarding the establishment of technical regulations on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for personal hygiene products, cosmetics and perfumes into its national legislation, the Brazilian government issued Resolution No. 48/2013 on 25 October 2013 to incorporate the Mercosur Resolution into its national legislation.

2.Companies will have to put in place all protocols and other necessary documents for cleaning validation, analytical methodology, computerised systems, and pre-installed water treatment system by 28 October 2014, while the validation study has to be completed by 28 October 2016.
