Commercial Information Circular No. 310/2014

Ecuador : Modification of the List of Products Requiring Certificate of Recognition

Pursuant to Commercial Information Circular No. 114/2014 of 7 February 2014 regarding modification of Ecuador's list of products requiring Certificate of Recognition ("certificado de reconocimiento"/INEN-1 in Spanish), the Foreign Trade Committee ("Comité de Comercio Exterior"/COMEX in Spanish) of Ecuador issued Resolution No. 3/2014 on 14 January 2014 to further revise the list by adding 16 tariff lines and excluding one tariff line from the list. The newly added tariff lines are set out in Annex I of Resolution No. 3/2014 and the excluded tariff line is at Annex II.

2.Prototypes and samples imported into Ecuador to undergo the required test to obtain an INEN-1 are exempted from the certificate of compliance requirements.
