Chile : Import Taxes Lowered for "Extended Free Zones"

Pursuant to Commercial Information Circular No. 350/2013 of 7 May 2013 regarding the lowered import tax for "extended free zones" ("zonas francas de extensión" in Spanish), the Chilean government issued Exempt Resolution No. 390/2014 on 3 February 2014 to lower the tax to 0.55% with effect from 1 April 2014, which is applicable to imports of foreign goods into certain areas adjacent to free zones.
