Argentina : Data Registration and Information Regime Involving Importation for Joint Ventures

The Federal Administration of Public Revenue ("Administracion Federal de Ingresos Publicos"/AFIP in Spanish) of Argentina issued General Resolution No. 3573/2013 on 16 December 2013 to implement a new data registration and information regime involving international operations and importation by collaboration associations ("agrupaciones de colaboración"), joint ventures ("uniones transitorias de empresas") and other non-societary partnership agreements.

2.The above entities are required to provide AFIP with the contract establishing the entities, amendments to that contract and documentation demonstrating the dissolution of the contract. Information to be submitted include: (i) the tax identification number ("Clave Unica de Idn Tributarientificació"/CUIT in Spanish) of the participant; (ii) the tax identification number of the above entities to which the imports are contributed; (iii) details of the imports, free on board (FOB) value and the import date; (iv) value of the contribution; and (v) date of the contribution.
