Chile : Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards for Certain Incandescent Lamps
The Chilean government issued Resolution No. 60/2013 on 28 December 2013 to establish the minimum mandatory energy efficiency standards for general purpose non-directional incandescent lamps.
2.The minimum mandatory energy efficiency standards prohibit the sale of incandescent lamps with an energy efficiency index equal to or greater than 80%. Lamps covered by the new standards include PS- and A-type tungsten filament incandescent lamps with a nominal power between 25 and 200 watts, for domestic and general purpose lighting, with a transparent, frosted or white finish, and E26 or E27 sockets, according to the scope of application of IEC Standard 60064/2005.
3.The incandescent lamps with rated energy efficiency of D, E, F and G with the following power will be banned from sale:
