Commercial Information Circular No. 1041/2014

Brazil : Amendment on Anti-dumping Orders against Certain Tyres of  Motor Cars, Bicycles, Buses and Lorries Originating in the Mainland of China

The Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) of Brazil issued Resolutions No. 108/2014, No. 109/2014 and No. 110/2014 on 24 November 2014 announcing its amendments to the anti-dumping (AD) duty orders on (a) motor car tyres classified under Southern Common Market (Mercosur1) Common Classification (NCM) code 4011.10.00; (b) bicycle tyres classified under NCM code 4011.50.00; and (c) buses or lorries tyres classified under NCM code 4011.20.90.

  1. Motor cars tyres
    The name of one of the producers/exporters which is subject to AD duty is revised.  The AD duty of the subject  products originating in the Mainland of China remains at US$1.08 to US$2.17 per kilogram for certain Mainland suppliers, and US$2.17 per kilogram for other Mainland suppliers. 
  2. Bicycles tyres
    Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 241/2014 of 14 March 2014 regarding the final determination of AD investigation against certain bicycle tyres, the MDIC announced that the name of one of the producers/exporters which is subject to AD duty is revised.  The AD duty of the subject products originating in the Mainland of China remains at US$0.28 to US$3.85 per kilogram for certain Mainland suppliers, and US$3.85 per kilogram for other Mainland suppliers. 
  3. Buses or Lorries tyres
    The name of one of producers/exporters which is subject to AD duty is revised.  The AD duty of the subject products originating in the Mainland of China remains at US$1.12 to US$1.42 per kilogram for certain Mainland suppliers, and US$2.59 per kilogram for other Mainland suppliers.
