Commercial Information Circular No. 1016/2014
Chile : Implementation of Electronic Manifest System for Sea Cargo
Further to Commercial Information Circulars No. 964/2012 of 23 November 2012, No. 939/2013 of 25 November 2013, No. 238/2014 of 14 March 2014, No. 605/2014 of 25 June 2014, and No. 810/2014 of 5 September 2014 regarding the implementation of electronic manifest system for sea cargo in Chile, the Chilean government issued Exempt Resolution No. 5710/2014 on 10 October 2014 to add the following ports which will start accepting electronic manifest:

| (i) | Talcahuano | 1 November 2014 |
| (ii) | Antofagasta and Tocopilla | 1 December 2014 |
| (iii) | Arica and Iquique | 1 January 2015 |
| (iv) | Valparaiso | 1 March 2015 |
| (v) | San Antonio | 1 April 2015 |
2.For the transitional period of the first three months, paper manifest must also be submitted to the above ports. The paper manifest may be used by warehouses for delivering the cargo in the event that the electronic message of the house bill of lading is not properly received, provided that prior concent of the Chilean customs is obtained.
