Mexico : Amendments of Regulation on Imported Products Covered by Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements
Mexico's National Food Health, Safety and Quality Service (SENASICA) has amended a regulation setting forth the list of imported products that must comply with certain sanitary and phytosanitary requirements.
DETAILS
2. The trade was informed via Commercial Information Circular No. 869/2012 of 26 October 2012 that the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food has published an updated classification and codification of imports subject to its various sanitary and phytosanitary requirements.
3. SENASICA under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food has introduced amendment that clarifies that compliance with all zoosanitary, aquaculture or phytosanitary requirements must be verified by the applicable government authorities at the point of entry into Mexico prior to customs clearance of the goods by means of documentary review and/or physical inspection.
