Canada : Increase to the Low Value Shipment Threshold for Shipments Imported into Canada
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) published a notice (Customs Notice 13-003) on 8 January 2013 to announce an increase to the low value shipment (LVS) threshold for the expedited release and special accounting of shipments imported into Canada. DETAILS
2.The current LVS threshold has been established by relevant Canadian regulations at a value for duty of less than CAD$1,600. Effective 8 January 2013, the LVS threshold will increase to an estimated value for duty not exceeding CAD$2,500.
