Mexico : Elimination of Anti-dumping Duties on Products from the Mainland of China
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a notice in the Official Gazette of 13 October 2008 to promulgate an agreement, signed between Mexico and the People's Republic of China on trade remedy measures on 1 June 2008, under which Mexico will eliminate or gradually reduce the anti-dumping duties it currently maintains on the products originating in the Mainland of China. According to the Gazette notice, no later than 15 October 2008, Mexico will eliminate the anti-dumping duties maintained on the products originating in the Mainland of China covering 749 tariff lines listed in Annex 2. In addition, no later than 15 October 2008, Mexico will adopt a transitional arrangement to gradually reduce the anti-dumping duties maintained on the products originating in the Mainland of China covering 204 tariff lines listed in Annex 1 and the duties will be entirely eliminated no later than 11 December 2011. The Mexican Ministry of Economy published a notice in the Official Gazette of 14 October 2008 announcing the implementation details of the above transitional arrangement.
