Cambodia : The European Commission's Implementation of the Partial Withdrawal of Tariff Preferences provided to Cambodia

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 124/2020 dated 14 February 2020, this Circular informs traders that the European Commission ("Commission") has implemented its decision to temporarily withdraw part of the tariff preferences provided to Cambodia under the Everything But Arms ("EBA") trade scheme with effect from 12 August 2020.

2.With the implementation of the decision by the Commission, the affected products from Cambodia, including certain garment and footwear products, travel goods and sugar, are now subject to general tariffs imposed by the European Union ("EU") applicable to any other members of the World Trade Organization, instead of zero tariff rate under the EBA scheme. Please refer to our Commercial Information Circular No. 124/2020 dated 14 February 2020 (https://www.tid.gov.hk/english/aboutus/tradecircular/all_in_one/2020/as012020.html) for the list of affected products and the applicable rates of general tariffs.
