Textiles Trader Registration Circular No. 13/2019

Indonesia : Initiation of Safeguard Investigations on Certain Textiles Products

The Indonesian government initiated safeguard investigations on 18 September 2019 on certain textile products, including (i) fabrics; (ii) yarn (other than sewing thread) of synthetic and artificial staple fibres; and (iii) curtains (including drapes), interior blinds, bed valances, and other furnishing articles, respectively.

2.For the Indonesian tariff codes for the products concerned, please refer to the relevant notifications (in English) circulated by the World Trade Organization available at G/SG/N/6/IDN/31, G/SG/N/6/IDN/32 and G/SG/N/6/IDN/33.

3.For details, traders are advised to consult their importers in Indonesia and/or refer to the press releases published by the Indonesian government (in Indonesian) at http://kppi.kemendag.go.id/.
