Exporting Goods Originating in Hong Kong to the EFTA States - Entry into Force of the Agreement between Hong Kong and Norway
Introduction
Further to the Certificate of Origin Circulars No. 6/2012 dated 30 August 2012 and No. 7/2012 dated 31 August 2012 on exporting goods originating in Hong Kong to EFTA States (namely Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) under the Free Trade Agreement between Hong Kong, China and the Member States of the EFTA ("Agreement"), this Circular informs traders of the entry into force of the Agreement between Hong Kong and Norway.
Entry into Force of the Agreement between Hong Kong and Norway
2. The Circulars dated 30 August and 31 August 2012 inform traders that the Agreement will enter into force between Hong Kong, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein on 1 October 2012. Subsequent to the issuance of the Circulars, notification from EFTA was received confirming that necessary internal procedures have also been completed for the Agreement to enter into force between Hong Kong and Norway on 1 November 2012.
3. Please be reminded to refer to the rules of origin, document requirements, record keeping requirements and other relevant issues for exporting goods originating in Hong Kong to the EFTA States under the Agreement as set out in the Circular dated 30 August 2012.
