Payment of Application Fees by Postage Stamps
Pursuant to Import and Export (Fees) Regulations, application fees in respect of certain textiles licensing services and certification of origin services shall be paid in the form of adhesive or impressed postage stamps, and such postage stamps shall be affixed or franked, as the case may be, on the relevant applications.
- Post Office has
announced that with effect from 1 July 1997, all postage stamps and
franking machine impressions bearing signs of British sovereignty, including
the Royal Cipher, the British sovereign's portrait or the Crown will
not be valid for prepayment of postage in Hong Kong
- Traders are reminded
that with effect from 1 July 1997, the Department will not accept adhesive
or impressed postage stamps bearing signs of British sovereignty, including
the Royal Cipher, the British sovereign!|s portrait or the Crown for
payment of application fees. These postage stamps, however, may be exchanged
for current definitive stamps of equivalent value at certain post offices
between 3 and 31 July 1997.
- Traders requiring
further information on exchange of stamps bearing signs of British sovereignty
for current definitive stamps or adjustments of franking machine are
advised to contact post offices.
