Entries invited for Hong Kong Awards for Industries

The following is issued on behalf of the Organising Committee of the Hong Kong Awards for Industries:
For the purpose of "honouring excellence and applauding success", the 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Industries (HKAI) is now open for entries. Hong Kong companies in the manufacturing and services sectors are welcome to join. The closing date is December 3.
The HKAI, an award championed by the Government, aims to recognise the outstanding achievements of Hong Kong enterprises in pursuit of high technology and high value-added activities and commend excellence in different aspects of their performance.
The HKAI comprises six categories, each organised by one leading organiser:

Adjudication in each award category is carried out by a preliminary judging panel arranged by individual leading organisers. After that, a final judging panel, to be chaired by Professor Tsui Lap-chee, will be convened to decide the winners. Only one grand award in each category will be presented to the most outstanding entry. Other deserving entries will be presented with an award or a certificate of merit. All award winners are entitled to display the official logo of the HKAI for three years and receive the HKAI trophy/certificate as a permanent memento of their achievements.
The awards presentation ceremony will be held on June 30, 2011, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Entry forms and brochures are now available from the respective organisers. They can also be downloaded from the HKAI website www.hkindustryaward.org.
The HKAI was launched in 2005 by merging the former Hong Kong Awards for Industry and the former Hong Kong Awards for Services, established in 1989 and 1997 respectively. Over the years, the awards have recognised and commended the excellent performance of more than 820 companies.
