Hong Kong Awards for Industries holds roving exhibitions

A series of roving exhibitions will be held at four government venues from today (March 16) to introduce the Hong Kong Awards for Industries (HKAI) and showcase the 2008 Grand Award winners.

The HKAI is the only award of its kind that is championed by the Government to recognise various aspects of excellence in enterprises in both the manufacturing and services sectors. Launched in 2005, the HKAI merged the former Hong Kong Awards for Industry and the former Hong Kong Awards for Services, established in 1989 and 1997 respectively. The award recognises Hong Kong enterprises for their outstanding achievements, particularly in moving towards higher technology or higher value-added activities.
The Grand Award winners of the 2008 HKAI were: C Enterprise Ltd. (consumer product design), Automatic Manufacturing Limited (machinery and machine tools design), Sino Estate Management Ltd - Pacific Palisades (customer service), Leo Paper Group (Hong Kong) Ltd (environmental performance), Toy2R (Holdings) Company Limited (innovation and creativity), The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (productivity and quality) and Dunwell Engineering Company Limited (technological achievement).
