Seminar on Basic Law

The following is issued on behalf of the Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors under the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee:

The Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors under the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee today (January 12) held a seminar on Basic Law to deepen the sectors' understanding on the law. More than 100 people attended the seminar.

Speakers at the seminar were Basic Law Steering Committee Member Ms Maria Tam; and Deputy Director, Hong Kong Basic Law Committee, Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of Hong Kong Ms Elsie Leung. They spoke on history and formulation process of Basic Law and case studies relating to the sectors respectively.
