Publication on Basic Law and the 10th anniversary of HKSAR establishment released (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee:

The Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee hosted a cocktail reception today (June 22) at the World Trade Centre Club in Causeway Bay, to launch a new publication on the Basic Law and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, officiated at the event. Editor-in-Chief of the publication, Miss Maria Tam Wai-chu, gave an account on the publication at the cocktail reception.

The ex-Vice Premier of the State Council, Mr Qian Qichen, autographed on the book while the Chairman of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Mr Qiao Xiaoyang, provided a foreword.

The publication outlines the drafting process of the Basic Law and Hong Kong's reunification with the Mainland; promotion and publicity of the Basic Law; implementation of the Basic Law; as well as Hong Kong's achievements in the past 10 years.
