Funding support on Design and Innovation to enhance SME competitiveness

The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will, next Wednesday (January 31), hold a seminar entitled "Enhance Competitiveness through Design and Innovation".

Through the "Design-Business Collaboration Scheme", the Government will provide funding support to SMEs to promote their interest to invest in design and in utilising and transforming design activity into tradable deliverables.

At the seminar, Manager of the Innovation and Technology Commission, Ms Janet Lau, will give details about the scheme, including the funding scope, amount and application procedures. Several designers and entrepreneurs will also share their experiences on enhancing product values through design and innovation.

The seminar will be held on January 31 at 2.30pm at the Lecture Theatre, Ground Floor, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau Station Exit B). It will be conducted in Cantonese with free admission.

Interested parties are requested to register with SUCCESS by next Monday (January 29).
