SME Seminar on enhancing competitiveness through design and innovation

The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will hold a seminar on how to enhance competitiveness through design and innovation on October 14.

The seminar will be held from 2.30pm to 5pm at the Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (MTR Tin Hau Station Exit B).

Representatives from different design disciplines will speak at the seminar. They include: Mr Kinney Chan (Hong Kong Interior Design Association); Mr Richard Li (Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association); Mr Charles Ng and Mr Winnif Pang (Hong Kong Designers Association). They will explain how to deploy design and innovation to enhance competitiveness and brief SMEs on the services provided by design houses. Also, Mr KF Chan from Innovation and Technology Commission will give an introduction on the Design-Business Collaboration Scheme under the DesignSmart Initiative. 

The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free of charge. Interested parties are requested to register with SUCCESS as seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
