SME newsletter "The Pulse" ready for collection

The fifth issue of the SME newsletter "the Pulse", published by the Trade and Industry Department (TID), has been released. Copies of the newsletter will be available free at the Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) at TID, major trade and industrial support organisations, and selected public libraries.

The latest issue contains articles on business opportunities offered in the electronic game industry, advice to SMEs on how to exercise custom-made selling techniques to cater for different types of customers, and how to handle employer-employee relationship in the Mainland. It also provides the new textiles import and export arrangements from 2005 onwards and the success story of a young entrepreneur in on-line retail business.

The newsletter, available in Chinese and published every six months, was first issued in late 2002, with an aim to update SMEs with the latest business information and Government's support measures and services. Soft copies can be downloaded from the SUCCESS website (www.success.tid.gov.hk).
