SME newsletter "The Pulse" to be released tomorrow

The third issue of the SME newsletter "The Pulse", published by the Trade and Industry Department (TID), will be released tomorrow (February 13). Copies of the newsletter will be available free at TID's Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS), major trade and industrial associations and industrial support organisations, and selected public libraries.

Articles on the following areas of interest will be featured in the newsletter:

  • promotion by "Direct Mail";

  • the story of a winner of the 2003 Hong Kong Young Industrialist from the office furniture business;

  • experts' advice on product design and brand-building (extracted from previous seminars organised by SUCCESS);

  • Hong Kong's optical shops;

  • business opportunities brought by CEPA to different industries/sectors;

  • winners of the 2003 Hong Kong Awards for Industry and Hong Kong Awards for Services; and

  • outsourcing of logistics work.

The newsletter, available only in Chinese and published every six months, aims to help SMEs keep pace with the business world and update them with the Government's SME support measures and services. Soft copies can be downloaded from the SUCCESS website (www.success.tid.gov.hk).
