Seminar examines 2004 prospects for retail and services, business start-ups

The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department and BOSSible will hold a joint seminar on business prospects for the retail and services industries and business start-ups in 2004.

The seminar will be held on January 13 from 2.30pm to 5pm at the Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (Tin Hau MTR Station Exit B).

Speakers will review the performance of the retail and service industries in 2003 and share their views on business prospects and the market environment in 2004. Specific topics will include shop and office rental trends, SME financing and related banking services.

Speakers include: Mr Daniel Law, CEO, Chinese Club Discount Centre Ltd; Miss Angel Cheung, Director, Angel Cosmetics International Ltd.; Ms Gady Cheung, Assistant Business Development Manager, Double Star Ltd.; Mr Stanley Poon, General Manager (Retail Department), Centaline (C.I.S.) Property Agency; Ms Amanda Chiu, Vice President, Head of Factoring Enterprise Banking, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited; and Dr Daniel Chan, Senior Investment Strategist, Deposit & Investment Consumer Banking, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited.

The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
