"Developing Business through Franchising" Seminar

The Support and Consultation Centre for SMEs (SUCCESS) of the Trade and Industry Department will, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Productivity Council's SME Centre, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC), and BOSSible, organise a seminar on "Developing Business through Franchising" on June 25.  Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) operators are welcome to attend.

The seminar will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Exhibition Hall, 4/F, HKPC Building, 78 Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon (MTR Kowloon Tong Station Exit C1).

The seminar aims to introduce franchising to SME, including types of franchising arrangements, the selection criteria of a franchiser, and the support that a franchiser will provide to a franchisee. 

At the seminar, Ms Hilda Chan, Business Development Manager, Double Star Ltd (Double Rainbow); Mr Keith Chau, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, Konica Hong Kong Ltd.; and Mr Ringo Wong, Managing Director, Sunshine Laundry, will brief participants on their franchising arrangements respectively.  Mr Henry Wong, a franchisee of Double Star Ltd., will share with participants his experience in running a franchise business.

Besides, Ms Charlotte Chow, Senior Manager, Business Policy, HKGCC, will speak on franchising in Hong Kong.  Ms Helen Tang, solicitor, Baker & McKenzie, will draw participants' attention to the major provisions in a franchise agreement.  Mr Harry Chow, Market Director, BOSSible, will share with participants the keys to success in running a franchise business.
