European Union (EU)* : Initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding on imports of certain cellulose ethers originating in, inter alia, Chinese Mainland
The European Commission published notice C/2026/4924 on 24 September 2026 announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of certain cellulose ethers originating in, inter alia, Chinese Mainland. 2.The product under investigation is certain cellulose ethers, namely methyl cellulose (Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) number 9004-67-5), hydroxyethyl cellulose (CAS number 9004‑62-0 and 80455-45-4), hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (CAS number 9032-42-2), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (CAS number 9004-65-3), ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (CAS number 9004-58-4) and methyl ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, regardless of colour, physical form, or grade, currently falling under CN code ex 3912 39 85 (TARIC codes 3912 39 85 30, 3912 39 85 60, and 3912 39 85 90).
3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to trade remedy investigations against products from the province.
